DJ Nene’s Top Ten Hear Me Out’s: Blog Edition

As we enter the month of December, and near the end of 2024, we are leaving behind a powerful legacy of Hear Me Outs. Millions of people all over the internet have united to share cartoon characters, movie characters, celebrities, and even dads! 

Hello! I would like (un)formally introduce myself as DJ Nene from the KSSU radio show titled Noise and Narratives (this is my show!). Tune in! 

So I’m hoping you know where this blog post is going… Yep.. You guessed it! I’m going to be explaining my hear me outs! 

Jake from Subway Surfers

He has good style. He’s the face of Subway Surfers, so this must mean he has a steady income. He has his own animated show on YouTube. He RUNS. Which suggests he works-out, and will therefore motivate me to rediscover my workout journey. Bonus points for his bad boy essence. 

Jon from Garfield and Friends

Alright, come one, he’s perfect! He has a house. He has a cat. He has a dog. He COOKS. Need I say more? He loves animals. He’s a cartoonist! He definitely has a lot of love to give, besides for his pets! And the best attribute– he’s always down for any shenanigans, hence the adventure Garfield takes him on. 

Diego from the Ice Age Series

Alright. Hold on. PAUSE. I know you get it. Just look at him! He’s so charming! A few notes (in case you don’t get it..): He is a hunter, a provider, he values family, and loves human babies!

Simon from Alvin and the Chipmunks

 I think this one is definitely very SELF EXPLANATORY. Simon is tall, nerdy, smart, awesome personality, and is a problem solver (I have problems to be solved). And best of all– he’s in a worldwide famous boy band.

Tadashi from Big Hero 6

I feel like as I continue to go down this list is gets progressively obvious. HA. Okay. Do I REALLY have to explain myself? He’s a robotics engineer, caring, supportive brother, family oriented and a university student. SO HE’S PERFECT. YES MORE PERFECT THAN JON. Tadashi is just a dream, if I’m being honest. His legacy will live on, because his death in Big Hero 6 was unfair. Fangirls (me) were sad to see our newly found cartoon Disney crush be squashed before our eyes. Anyways, a solid 10/10. 

Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast original animated film

He’s hot. That’s it. That’s the explanation. Quite literally. 

Ryan from Barbie’s Life in the Dreamhouse

He’s sassy, obsessive, and an icon. Period. Bonus points for the fact that he can play guitar and sing. 

Venom

Aura is up there in the millions. And once you’re with him, he will NEVER abandon you. Never. 

And last, but not least… Drum roll please! Messy Hair version of Tim from BrainPOP

He’s curious, encourages critical thinking, a proper academic, a role model to millions, funny, and he is very good looking. 

I think if I were to choose one character to go on a date with, it would be Tadashi. Because who wouldn’t!
